8 EYES PHOTOGRAPHY-Ellen and Pat Prather are a pair of photogs who LOVE working together and rightfully so; the two have been married for 15 years, lending a natural cohesion to their creative body of work. Launching their pictorial venture, 8EyesPhotography about a year ago, the two have traveled throughout the U.S. capturing the beauty of the natural world. Their impromptu pics range from vibrant and whimsical scenes of your favorite fairs to bold and intense seasonal shots that will linger in your mind well into the NEXT season. The couple is hesitant to confine themselves to a box with any specific genre of photography, but they are looking forward to branching out into new avenues as their experience grows and their travels continue. One look at the amazing wildlife photos found on their site, www.8eyesphotography.com, and you’ll see why I’m ready to personally pack their bags to send them on their next adventure!
Popp Images-It was just about 8 years ago when an undying interest and a “now or never” splurge on an SLR camera came together to propel Jackie Popp into the captivating life of a shutterbug. After taking an introductory photography class to help put a brilliant polish on the pre-existing raw talent, Jackie focused her sharp eye on the world and formed Popp Images. With an almost allergic reaction to the contrived, one-size-fits-all shots cranked out of some studios, Jackie likes to aim her lens at subjects in their natural settings. The resulting works are unpretentious and purely personal. Her range of skill is family friendly enough for capturing your favorite pooch frolicking in the park, while remaining savvy enough to capture sophisticated and irrefutably seductive photos for any personal collection. Her body of work, Corpus Exquisitus: Beautiful Body is a wonderful example of the latter and can be viewed at http://www.flickr.com/photos/jackie-popp. For more family friendly pics, visit Jackie at www.Poppimages.com. Tell her the Heat Seeker sent you!

All of these photographers have taken really good pictures that are sound and clear. In particular, I really like the closeup of the animals. The image appears real.
ReplyDeleteThese pictures are beautiful. Thanks for putting their work out there and making us aware of their resources.
ReplyDeleteIt's my pleasure!
ReplyDeleteI think people can be deterred when they see polished photography that doesn't come from some place like Olan Mills, Sears, etc. These works are examples of available, attainable work that will make a great addition to any family's collection. Change up some of the boring poses in fam photo albums or give punch to a commercial project.
Glad you all enjoyed!
